An executive considered a leader in the market. As a manager of the Small Caps strategy, Werner Roger is the CIO (Chief Investment Officer). He began his career at Chase Manhattan in 1982. He worked in the credit, M&A, proprietary equity and structured transactions segment in the Corporate Banking division until 1990. He continued his activity in corporate banking at Citibank until 1994, the year his career migrated over to the capital markets: four years in sell-side research and nine years as director of credit and risk, the last two years at Western Asset, which absorbed the activities of this division of Citibank worldwide through the Legg Mason group. He subsequently continued his career in asset management, but as a businessman and entrepreneur acting as an equity manager in the last 15 years focused on small caps at Victoire Brasil Investimentos investment boutique, with the last 5 years working as co-founder of Trígono Capital, totaling 40 years in the financial market. He has extensive experience at top global organizations such as Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank, Western Asset Management (Legg Mason), in addition to the Victoire Brasil Investimentos boutique, of which he was one of the founding partners and in charge of managing the Small Cap strategy, which has grown to nearly US$ 1 billion in assets under management, with major local and international institutional investors as its core clients. He graduated in Agronomic Engineering in 1981 from Universidade Estadual Paulista – Unesp. Certifications – Securities Portfolio (CVM) Manager, Fundação Dom Cabral’s Board Member Development Program, ANBIMA Professional Certification (CPA-20), ANBIMA Management Certification (CGA), and several professional training courses.
